Our members companies import and distribute tropical, exotic and out-of-season fruits and vegetables CSIF brings together 1.5 million tonnes, for a turnover of 1.5 billion euros, or about 70% of fruits and vegetables from third countries marketed in France.

Interfel
Interfel was founded in 1976 and encompasses all the fresh fruit and vegetables production trades. Every aspect is represented: production, shipping, import, export, wholesaling, distribution (large supermarkets, specialized businesses, and institutional restaurants). As a private organization by law and initiative, Interfel is a recognized National Interprofessional Farming Association under French rural law, and under the European Union, since 21 November 1996, as part of the single CMO (Common Market Organization).

SNIFL
The National Union of Importers/Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables – Saint-Charles, (SNIFL-SC) is a professional association law 1884, based on Saint-Charles International in Perpignan, the first European platform for Marketing, Transport and Logistics in fruit and vegetables.
The SNIFL currently brings together 74 companies involved in the trading of fruit and vegetables (import/export) and 49 “Associate Member” companies (These associate members are transporters/logisticians, Ssii, training centers, equipment manufacturers, organizations financial, etc., etc.).
The SNIFL adheres to all the major structures in the sector, such as INTERFEL at the National level or FRESHFEL at the European level. The Syndicate is also represented, via FRESHFEL, at the European Commission in Brussels by two experts within the framework of the Observatory of Fruits and Vegetables.

Académie d’agriculture de France
The Académie d’agriculture de France brings its academic year to a close, with summer opening up to us all. The past year has been rich in sessions and colloquia, both for the Academy and for the partnerships to which Aprifel belongs. The level of activity is growing fast, with reports, academic notes, Encyclopedia online files and a website that is updated daily.The CESE held a plenary session on “Expectations and societal issues linked to new genomic techniques”, for which the Académie was auditioned. The Académie responded to two European Union public consultations, one on rewriting the genome, the second on soils.Enlightening society and decision-makers remains the Académie’s major objective.

AUDA-NEPAD

IUNS
The International Union of Nutritional Sciences (IUNS) is a global organization that has been at the forefront of promoting and advancing nutrition science for over 75 years. IUNS is a union of over 80 Adhering Bodies members representing nutrition scientists from all corners of the globe.
The organization was established in 1948 with a mission to promote advancement in nutrition science, research and development through international cooperation at the global level. As well as encouraging communication and collaboration among nutrition scientists as well as to disseminate information in nutritional sciences through modern communication technology.
The highlight of IUNS activities is the International Congress of Nutrition which has become the premier global conference on nutrition science. Every 4 years the ICN brings together nutrition professionals from all over the world to share their research, discuss current issues and challenges in the field and promote evidence-based nutrition policies. The next IUNS – ICN, hosted by Société Française de Nutrition and the French Federation of Nutrition will focus on “ Sustainable Food for Global Health” and takes place in Paris, France from 24th – 29th August 2025.

African Nutrition Society
Established in 2008, the African Nutrition Society (ANS) is a registered scientific professional body, a learned society formed by nutritional scientists, food scientists and other health professionals working in, and with an interest in the nutrition agenda for Africa. ANS was established as an umbrella organization among others, to develop and promote the nutrition profession in Africa and to oversee the Africa nutritional Epidemiology conferences (ANEC) which have been running since 2002.

ECOG, European Childhood Obesity Group
The European Childhood Obesity Group (ECOG) is a pan-European group of professionals dealing with childhood obesity and overweight. ECOG brings together experts from across the board including paediatricians, psychologists, nutritionists, geneticists, physical activity experts, economists and many more.
The group was founded in 1991 and its mission is to help the European community at large to fully understand the health, social, psychological and economic impacts of childhood obesity. The group is a great platform for networking, supporting research and spreading education.

VEGEPOLYS VALLEY, international plant cluster, gathers actors of the whole plant sector, from genetics to using (600 members). The cluster boosts and supports the innovation co-designing from upstream to downstream. In order to meet the environmental, economic and social stakes, VEGEPOLYS VALLEY wants to be the leading international plant cluster for more competitive, qualitative, environment and health-friendly agricultures. The cluster supports an average of 70 innovative projects per year. The cluster supports the EGEA symposium because it is perfectly in line with cluster’ ambition.

Végéphyl
Végéphyl is an association designed whose aim is to promote scientific exchanges and information based on the reliable references and the experience of its members, in order to protect plants sustainably for the benefit of mankind and his food.It is made up of 11 thematic Commissions (pests and beneficials, plant diseases, weed management, alternative methods etc.). Végéphyl organizes a thematic conference each year, and also offers training courses in experimentation, biocontrol, entomology (…).

The « Institut Pasteur de Lille » is a private foundation recognized as being of public utility, created in 1894. It belong to the Pasteur Institute network (32 in the world, 2 in France). Federation of European Nutrition Societies
FENS is an umbrella organisation whose members are the national nutrition societies from 27 European countries. Members of those societies are mainly, though not exclusively, academic nutrition scientists. The main interest of FENS is on nutrition research and education. FENS aims to promote the advancement in nutrition science, research and development through international cooperation. Supports and promotes activities of its member societies. FENS hosts a summer school, co-ordinates three regional task forces (Mediterranean, Nordic, Eastern), interacts and collaborates with other similar organisations in the “diet and health” space, represents the discipline in various stakeholder fora (EFSA, JPI HDHL, era4health), hosts a Presidential activity (“improving standards in the science of nutrition”), and hosts a conference every 4 years.
